Ruminations on war

I'm posting this from Eff because, well, read it and reflect.

Honestly, this is getting on my nerves. Let's see if I can make this clear. War has one validating purpose, winning. Whether war did or did not end some ideological terror imposed on people is beside the point. If one nation defeats another, whether in defense or as the agressor, war has served its purpose. War isn't suppose to solve every consequence before it and thereafter. If you win, your war was validated. The only thing that might invalidate war is illegality and, moreso, non necessity. There'd have to be near countless wars for it to have a large enough effect on society to mold it into a kind of paradise. I hate how people expand war into something that exceeds its purpose.

I was not aware that this had been copied to here until now. I appreciate that one of my commentaries has been found worthy of mention here, but I want to make clear, incase of any uncertainty, that I am not Iraqi.

I placed the link to this site in my blog because I thought it would be of interest to whomever happens to see my blog. If there is a problem with my non Iraqi/ME relations, please let me know.

I am also not a soldier or contractor in Iraq.

Oh, that's ok Eff ~ neither are some other links posted here.

No probs at all, this site was never intended to make anyone feel excluded or segregated ~ only to help support people blogging under difficult circumstances.

Blogs from/related to Iraq are linked in the lefthand sidebar.

I posted your words, because, they seemed relevant in some way and because I liked they way you chose to sweep aside all the justifications and deal with a core motivation, behind war.

I am reassured, then. Thank you.

Centrally, I am bothered by both pro and anti war sides making war into something it should not be, and something that it cannot be.
