I have deleted all nonexistent blogs as well a couple of unrelated blogs, separated the abandoned blogs from ones which are still active, and the result is as you see it. Down from 212 to 110. This was not a methodical business, I have made some mistakes here and there but the error margin could be by the approximity of 1 to 5 blogs.
This is one of several ideas I have for this site, and perhaps the most boring. Expect more in the future.

Umm. Who authorised you to delete blogs from the list?
Well, I just hope he got rid of the blogs that were hijacked by the pornmongers.
I never deleted anything but blogs that are nonexistent, all the other blogs are below in a separate list called 'Abandoned Blogs'. Take care.
Zeyad, it was after asking me and as Kid said there was no attempt to delete any blogs.
Kid - I looked at your changes line-by-line. it is truly a heroic effort! I mean you even corrected some ancient mistakes in the spelling of a few blogs. But there were some mistakes - you have deleted some active blogs. So I have restored an updated version of the original template while I recheck the deleted blogs. Also I think Zeyad has a point - it is better to keep deleted blogs in the list just for historic reasons. But they should be in their own section.
It would be a good idea to put a sign next to blogs that are defunct or inactive, instead of deleting them from the list. The list should remain for historical reasons, like Salam said.
For an idea of what I'm suggesting check my own list of Iraqi blogs at http://healingiraq.blogspot.com/iraqblogs.htm
I guess it all goes down to what a blog really is. We can argue about this forever - but it is useful to know how many active blogs are out there as well as how many ever existed.
