Indigo-Daisy
I know I am stretching the definition of 'Iraqi' here, but Deborah Abdulla is married to an Iraqi and her children are half Iraqi. Anyway, its such a great blog that I will have to make her my honorary Iraqi for the week just to include it.
Indigo-Daisy is about poetry (her own and others), peace, recipes and fun. Here is a sample...
The laws of my soul
there are three major types of laws that people will follow,
the laws of the land,
the laws of the church,
and the laws of the soul
if there should come a time when they are not equal, and I must choose one over the other
I shall choose to follow my soul,
for I can step outside of the land and the church,
but I can not step outside my soul.

Thank you Salam for your kind comments.
I am indeed an Iraqi at heart.
My dream is that one day, in the not too distant future, I shall sit with my beautiful family for dinner in a garden restaurant along the Tigris River. We will take our time savoring our meal, no one to rush us, the night is ours. Loved ones we have conjured in spirit will savor upon the peace in our breath.
I shall sip on a wine imported from France (sorry, I love wine) and the voices beside me will soon become slightly muffled as I zone off into a place under the stars, I look up to the heavens in all its glory, it is beautiful, it is peaceful, it is perfect.
Who knows, it can happen.
May peace shine upon you,
Deborah

It's AUC from Sulamaniyah.
Nice. You are a dreamer and a poetess by heart. I too is a dreamer, I cherish to see that this world is full with decent human beings who, as you said, shall obey the rules of their soul ever the three rules come in conflict with each other.
Thank you for you have given me the courage to continue with my dream.

Another blog for you: it's my day-by-day account of a three week tour of Iraq just before the invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
It's called In and Out of Iraq and you can find it at http://inandoutofiraq.blogspot.com/
So far, I have got to 4 April 1990, but it will eventually run to 29 April 1990. I'm putting the days up in stages.
Congratulations. Really pleased with the standard of the advice offered. I sincerely hope that you keep up with the fantastic job achieved.
