Live Debated

Did anyone hear Majority Report's live debate about Iraq and Credibility between Juan Cole and Jonah Goldberg? With Markos Moulitsas and Flavia Colgan?

Hope Maj Report publish transcripts, some of us are in diff time zones (and some of us on globes bottom, out of transmission range). I wonder if Maj Report do Audio files?.

When was this debate?
I see no mention of it on the Corner and Mr. Goldberg usually says where he is going to be or where you can he him?

Majority Report appears only to offer a live feed to their show, and by time I found it, it was too late for the debate.

I've been doing searches all day and have only managed to find a few mentions of the upcoming show -- but not a peep anywhere in the blogosphere from anyone who heard it, which seems rather odd.

Here it is. Turns out Jonah was a no-show, and it ended up being an interview with Juan. The story is that Jonah feared that fat jokes would be made about him -- this is why the "Majority Report" website pictures Jonah as a chicken. Chicken noises were a feature of the show, as well.

From what they were saying, yes.

That was my first thought, too, when they began playing the chicken noises -- that the whole debate thing was a joke, but as they talked it became clear it wasn't. They talked about how lame Jonah's excuse was, and even played the answering machine message they left, assuring him that he wouldn't be made fun of if he came.

Then it turned serious -- they decided they'd pushed the chicken tape thing as far as it would go. Juan said "Well, hopefully, Jonah realizes it's all in good fun.", and they moved on to interviewing Juan. Actually, I thought Juan was being pretty gracious about the whole thing; he could have really crowed about Jonah not showing up. He didn't even mention it on his weblog next day.
