Iraq needs to recruit its police in a candestine location to prevent easy access by suicide bombers. As long as a significant fraction of the population is at war against the government, the government needs to operate under emergency measures -- you can't have a normal open society and open government during civil war aided by insurgents.

EXCUSE ME...I think you mean "by the terrorists" or what I'm guessing you like to call "resistance"!

Excuse you Nancy? Why of course, I always grant pardons.

I am however, not quite sure what you are getting at.

Are you suggesting US, UK, Australian and various other national army units in Iraq are all terrorists? Or are you subtly pointing out that all "terrorists", or "resistance" as you put it, are military units too?

All interesting points. But not much help for the dead.
