Iraqi olympic team to the glory
The Iraqi Olympic team yesterday draws a wide smile on the faces of all Iraqi fans, after the great performance yesterday against Portugal, letting us forget the sad defeat against china in Asia 2004, and playing with great confidence against strong European team with professional stars like Ronaldo and Boa Morta.
The Iraqi team showed some awesome team work, and managed to scored, Emad Mohammed, Howar Molla, Yonnis Mahmmod and finally Salih Sadeer.
The match ended 4-2 to iraq
The Iraqi fans at Greece didn't stop supporting the players along the match, and they were so maniac :P
One of the fans raised both the Iraqi flag and kurditsan's flag to show unity of new Iraq :)
Best wishes to our team for the next match against Costa Rica
P.S: what's wrong with other members here, no one write sport articls here :P

Geez, don't you guys have any mercy? The Portuguese were just recovering from the shock the Greeks had given them, and now this!
Seriously though, Portugal is a great team, and to win so well against them is a big achievement. Well done.

my g*d, Iraq beat Portugal! no wonder my neighbourhood has been so quiet this week.
--Bruno-- ~ lol, recovering from shock? don't you mean recovering from 24/7 flag waving, whistle blowing, 4WD hooning and other football boisterosities? i cannot even begin to imagine how Portugal would celebrate if they actually won a football match.
I was only able to watch the first half.
The first ten minutes the Iraqi team looked nervous. As one commenter remarked, the first goal for Portugal was really knocked in by an Iraqi player (so the score should be 5-1, ha ha). I was thinking, "Oh hell. It doesn't look good for the Iraq team." But they sucked it up and fought back, scoring the next goal! Amazing! And then they scored another one! They led 2-1. Just before I had to leave for work, Portugal scored a goal before halftime: 2-2. Later, at uni, I checked the internet and jumped for joy when I learned that while I was riding the subway, the Iraqi team scored 2 more goals and won 4-2.
Let's go Iraq!

I'm really happy for the Iraqi team. Let's hope for more victories. They deserve the best.
